Aspiring to Synthesize Real-World Experience with Ethical Technology Integrations in Education
After 30 years of operating company management in a variety of fields with varying technology integrations and 8 years of full-time and volunteer law enforcement patrol duties, I have developed unique perspectives on the downstream results of education.
My exposure to different socio-economic conditions, cultural paradigms, and functional skillsets in the customers and communities I served in these roles, has impressed upon me a critical belief – we are at an inflection point where education must transform for what lies ahead.
With the rapid pace of emerging technology development, and its sometimes-forceful introduction to many aspects of our daily journeys, it is clear that technology must be designed to serve cognitive science, not replace it.
As I investigate pathways towards a PhD, I am motivated to help develop and guide the necessary changes to our educational systems.
It is time for the paradigm of education to evolve in meaningful ways if we are to move forward into the next age of humankind as a resilient community.
